Matthew  Loscalzo, L.C.S.W., APOS Fellow  is the  Executive Director, People & Enterprise Transformation Emeritus Professor Supportive Care Medicine, Professor Population Sciences at the City of Hope.

Until August 2021, Matthew J. Loscalzo was the Liliane Elkins Professor in Supportive Care Programs in the Department of Supportive Care Medicine and Professor in Department of Population Sciences. He is also the founding  Executive Director of the Department of Supportive Care Medicine and the Administrative Director of the Sheri & Les Biller Patient and Family Resource Center at the City of Hope-National Medical Center.

He is now Executive Director, People & Enterprise Transformation, Emeritus Professor Supportive Care Medicine Professor Population Sciences  City of Hope-National Medical Center.

Professor Loscalzo was the President of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society and the Association of Oncology Social Workers.  Along with James Zabora, ScD, at the Johns Hopkins Oncology Center, they created the first prospective universal clinical biopsychosocial screening program in the United States.

Professor Loscalzo has held leadership positions at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Johns Hopkins Oncology Center, Rebecca and John Moores Cancer Center at the UCSD and is now in his 15^th  year at City of Hope-National Medical Center. He has been a consultant to multiple major cancer organizations on how to build supportive care programs, implement new processes, enhance staff engagement and has developed a unique staff leadership model.

In 2010, he received the Outstanding Education and Training Award Recipient from the American Psychosocial Oncology Society; 2014, the  lifetime achievement award in clinical care with the Noemi Fisman Award for Lifetime Clinical Excellence from the International Psycho-Oncology Society (IPOS);  2015, the Jimmie Holland Life Time Leadership Award from the American Psychosocial Oncology Society (APOS); 2016 Harold Benjamin Innovation Award, Cancer Support Community; 2017 the recipient of the Arthur M. Sutherland Lifetime Achievement in the Field of Psycho-Oncology (IPOS); 2021 the American Psychosocial Oncology Society created the Matthew Loscalzo Outstanding Education and Training Award and City of Hope Created the Matthew Loscalzo Leadership Award Lecture Series.

He has been the PI and faculty on multiple NCI  funded training grants teaching health care professionals to build supportive care programs, strengths and gender-based couples programs, comprehensive automated biopsychosocial screening programs, pain management and advanced cognitive behavioral skills.

He is also on the editorial boards or a reviewer for a number of professional journals and has over 100 publications and 5 books. His clinical interests are gender-based medicine, strengths-based approaches to psychotherapies, pain management, problem-based distress screening and the creation of supportive care programs.

Assistant Professor – Department od Advanced Biomedical Sciences – University of Naples Federico II (Naples, Italy). Breast Surgical Oncologist – Breast Unit – University Hospital Federico II (Naples, Italy). Former Chief of the Breast Surgical Unit of the Malzoni Cancer Center – MACC (Avellino, Italy). He obtained his Medical Degree at University Federico II of Naples in 2005 and the Specialization in General Surgery at the same University in 2012. He obtained a PhD in Advanced Biomedical and Surgical Therapies at the University of Naples in cooperation with the National Research Council, studying the potential applications of 3D-printing and regenerative medicine in the field of breast reconstruction. He was Research Fellow at “Fondazione Umberto Veronesi” with the project “Engineered Breast Reconstruction”. He attended the Plastic Surgery Unit headed by Dr. Maurizio Bruno Nava at National Cancer Institute in Milan (Italy), perfectioning his skills in oncoplastic breast surgery. He also obtained a Master in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery at the University of Genova (Italy) and the Certificate of Competence in Breast Cancer at the University of Ulm (Germany). He is member of the scientific committee of the MBN International Oncoplastic Breast Meeting and MBN Aesthetic Breast Meeting organized by Dr. Maurizio Bruno Nava in Milan since 2012. He organized International Meetings and Webinars as scientific Director of G.Re.T.A. since 2017. He is member of the Cochrane Collaboration. He is surgical editor for the Cochrane Breast Cancer Group at University of Sydney, Australia. He is author of more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific articles.

Dr Pooja Jagmohan is a senior consultant at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, National University Hospital, Singapore and Assistant Professor, Department of Diagnostic Radiology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She heads the Division of Breast Imaging at NUH and is NUH’s lead radiologist for Singapore’s national breast screening programme (Breast Screen Singapore ). She also holds adjunct appointment as Senior Consultant at the National University Cancer Institute. Dr Pooja did her initial medical and radiology training in India. She subsequently trained in various hospitals in Singapore and attained specialisation accreditation in Singapore followed by a fellowship in breast imaging at the Medical University of Vienna. Her interests include breast imaging and imaging guided breast procedures, women’s imaging and Body / oncologic imaging.

Dr Raghavan Vidya MS, MD, FRCS is a Senior lecturer at Birmingham University and Consultant Oncoplastic breast surgeon at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. She graduated from University of Madras, India followed by Postgraduate training in General Surgery. She completed her MD (Research) on aromatase inhibitors from University of Edinburgh and higher surgical training in Wessex and West Midlands. Dr Vidya is a faculty in several National and International meetings and has more than 120 peer-reviewed publications. She has introduced and mentored new innovations including muscle-sparing implant-based breast reconstruction. She produced the report of Future of Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons as a National member of ABS Breast academic Group. She is the lead for the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) International Surgical training programme (ISTP) in Breast Surgery. She is Associate Director of West Midlands, Genomic Medicine Service Alliance (GMSA). Dr Vidya has founded the Virtual Global Breast Hub, to bring together global experts on a single platform. She is actively involved in clinical trials and has a special interest in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, new technology and advances in breast surgery.

Permanent Professor of the Graduate Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine of Botucatu and the Graduate Program in Oncology at the Hospital de Cancer de Barretos. Researcher CNPQ-PQ2. He works at the Muriaé Cancer Hospital.

Graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Federal University of Goiás (1991) and Specialization in Clinical Cytology (1994) from the same institution. She holds a Master’s degree in Pathology (1999) from the University of Brasília, and a PhD in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the State University of Campinas (2005). She also has the Title of Specialist in Clinical Cytology by the Brazilian Society of Clinical Cytology. She concluded her postdoctoral studies at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the State University of Campinas in 2011 and has been a Collaborating Researcher in this department at UNICAMP since 2010. She is currently Full Professor in Clinical Cytology at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Federal University of Goiás. Has experience in research in the area of clinical cytology, pathology, oncological gynecology, biological markers, squamous and glandular lesions induced by the human papillomavirus, sexually transmitted diseases, molecular biology, uterine cervix cancer, breast cancer, penile cancer, head cancer and neck. She was coordinator of the Graduate Program in Health Care and Assessment (2018-2020) at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). She supervised 10 scientific initiation students with scholarships, 13 master’s students and 7 doctoral students from the Graduate Program in Tropical Medicine at (UFG) and acted as co-supervisor in 3 master’s and 5 doctoral students in the Graduate Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). She also supervised two master’s dissertations by the Program and Graduate Program in Assistance and Health Assessment (UFG). She supervised a postdoctoral fellowship. Currently, she advises 4 doctoral students in the Postgraduate Program in Tropical Medicine and 2 Master’s students, one in the Postgraduate Program in Tropical Medicine and the other in the Postgraduate Program in Health Assistance and Evaluation. She coordinated and still coordinates projects with regional and national funding by the Goiás State Research Support Foundation (FAPEG) and CNPq. She regularly publishes in journals indexed in pubmed/medline and/or Lilacs, having 41 articles indexed in Medline/pubmed with an H-index of 14 (Web of Science-2021). She is a regular reviewer for Diagnostic Cytolpathology, RBGO, Acta Cytologica, Plos One.

Graduated in Biological Sciences Medical Modality from the Catholic University of Goiás (1981), Master in Molecular Biology – University of Victoria – Canada (1994) and PhD in Sciences (Human Physiology) from the University of São Paulo (2004). She is currently an adjunct professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás and advises on work at the Graduate Program in Environmental Sciences and Health at PUC Goiás. She is a professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, working mainly on the following topics: Molecular Genetics of Cancer, with emphasis on detection and genotyping of HPV in cancers associated with the virus; Molecular markers associated with breast cancer, sarcomas and thyroid carcinomas. It uses molecular markers for molecular epidemiology studies of cancer.
