Is a surgical oncologist specializing in the treatment of breast cancer. He graduated from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine Istanbul University and completed his general surgery residency at the same university. Dr Karanlik then completed a Surgical Oncology fellowship and master degree for Cancer Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Institute of Oncology Istanbul University. Dr. Karanlik has focused his career exclusively on the treatment of breast cancer since 2004. He has more than 100 national and international original articles, more than 200 presented abstracts, awards for young researcher, and 8 best study awards in congresses. He completed all requirements of European Union of Medical Specialists, passed all exams of European Board of Surgery in Liverpool and received degree of Fellowship European Board of Surgery (FEBS). Dr. Karanlik has a special interest in breast conservation, oncoplastic surgical techniques and research studies with multidisciplinary and multi-institutional manner.

HAYDEN CARLTON (USA)

Dr. Hayden Carlton currently works as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in the Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences. His work in Dr. Robert Ivkov’s lab focuses on the usage of magnetic nanoparticles for cancer treatment, specifically with thermal therapies like magnetic nanoparticle hyperthermia. Dr. Carlton received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in 2021, where his research focused primarily on the study of heat transfer in micro and nanoscale systems.

HEATHER LYNN MCARTHUR (USA)

Is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Director of the Breast Cancer Program at Simmons Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in breast cancer research and treatment.

Dr. McArthur earned her medical degree at the University of Toronto and completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Calgary. She received advanced training through a medical oncology fellowship at the University of British Columbia and an advanced clinical research fellowship in breast cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

She also holds a master’s degree in public health from Harvard University.

Dr. McArthur joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2021. Previously, she served as Medical Director of Breast Oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

At UT Southwestern, she serves as the Komen Distinguished Chair in Clinical Breast Cancer Research. Her research focuses on innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, and she has a special interest in developing immunotherapy strategies.

The author of more than 100 research articles and abstracts, she has been a reviewer for medical journals including CancerJournal of Clinical OncologyNature, and New England Journal of Medicine. She currently serves as an Associate Editor for Breast Cancer Research and on the editorial boards for Cancer and Breast Cancer Research and Treatment.

She also serves on the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology’s Immuno-Oncology Committee Advisory Council, Oncology Education’s Scientific Steering Committee, and the National Cancer Institute’s Breast Immuno-Oncology Task Force of the Breast Cancer Steering Committee.

Dr. McArthur is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Southwest Oncology Group.

She completed a fellowship in breast surgical oncology and general surgery residency at Cleveland Clinic and received her Master’s in Health Care Management from Harvard School of Public Health. She is Principal at TrueNorth Medical Consulting LLC, focusing on value-based transformation and Centers of Excellence guidance. Dr Dietz is the past president and Chairman of the Board of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and Vice Chair of the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). Dr Dietz co-leads Global Breast Hub and serves as an advisor to Breast Global, international organizations with a mission to lessen gaps in breast cancer care around the world. Dr Dietz led the multi-society Breast Cancer Pandemic Consortium to establish a prioritization recommendation, has taken part in guideline and consensus statement development, has served as faculty in many courses, and is a frequent international invited speaker. Her current clinical and research interests include oncoplastic surgery, value-based and patient-centric care and the surgical techniques that promote such care delivery.

During her doctorate she performed a sandwich internship at Rühr Universität, Germany under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schuhmann. She did her postdoctoral work at IFSC in the Nanomedicine and Nanotoxicology Group. She was a visit researcher at the Center for Bionano Interactions coordinated by Prof. Dr Kenneth A. Dawson, University College Dublin, Ireland. His research is focused on the application of analytical techniques in Nanomedicine and Nanotoxicology, working mainly in the development of theranostic nanoparticles, sensors and biosensors, and toxicology of nanomaterials. She published around 37 international articles that received more than 941 citations (h index = 17 and i10 index = 25), in addition to book chapters and patent filing. She has given more than 20 national and international lectures, and serves as a reviewer for numerous international scientific journals.

JULIA CAMPS HERRERO(BRA)

Dr. Julia Camps-Herrero is a breast radiologist and also the Corporate Chief of Breast Health in five Ribera Salud hospitals in Spain (University Hospitals of Torrejon, POVISA, Vinalopó, Denia, and Polusa). From 2006 to 2019 she was appointed Head of the Radiology Department at University Hospital de la Ribera in Alzira (Valencia). Since 1999 she is an active researcher in multimodality breast radiology, with a special interest in MRI, CEM and minimally invasive interventions. Dr Camps-Herrero is an active speaker in Latin America and Europe, where she has been invited to lecture in more than 400 presentations. She is the author of 30 papers, 7 book chapters and 75 scientific posters and oral presentations. Currently, she is the Vice-president of SEDIM (Spanish Breast Imaging Society) and a Past-President of the European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI).

KAMYLLA DA SILVA CALDEIR (BRA)

Degree in Biological Sciences from PUC-GO; Master’s Degree in Biology with emphasis in Cellular and Molecular Biology from UFG-GO Executive MBA in Business Administration – Health Management from FGV; 15 years of experience in Clinical Research in Oncology as a study coordinator, financial analyst and contract analyst.

LARISSA ANDRESSA ORSOLINI (BRA)

Nurse graduated from Universidade Paulista, (2011) and specialist in Health Systems Auditing from PUC GO. She is currently a Nurse and Senior Coordinator of Clinical Research at the Study Center of the Gynecology and Breast Service of the Associação de Combate ao Câncer in Goiás – Hospital Araújo Jorge, acting in the coordination of research protocols, quality control of clinical studies phases Ib, II and III and multidisciplinary team management. Senior experience in coordinating studies in oncology focused on female tumors and with a focus on breast cancer.

Livia Palmerston Mendes

She obtained her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery Systems at Northeastern University in 2018 (Boston, USA), after graduating from Federal University of Goiás, Brazil, with a B.Sc. in Pharmacy (2010) and M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2012). Research experience spanning over 15 years, working mostly with the development of lipid and polymeric nanoparticles for the delivery of anti-cancer drugs and gene delivery systems

He has experience in pharmacology, behavioral analysis and preclinical studies.
