Author and Editor of the books: “Oncoplastic Surgery of the Breast, How? When? Why?” and “Diagnosis and Treatment of Breast Cancer. Procedures Guide”. His works were nationally and internationally awarded 31 times. He has been a participant and speaker in multiple congresses, symposiums and national and international courses on oncological and reconstructive breast surgery from 1978 to date. His field of interest focuses on the prevention and risk reduction of breast cancer, optimization of surgical treatment and prevention of its sequelae, and oncoplastic and reconstructive surgery
Dr. Ximendes holds a Ph.D. in Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain and Universidade Federal de Alagoas, Brazil) and is highly interested in optics and photonics. He has several manuscripts on the utility of luminescent contrast agents and autofluorescence for the detection of incipient dissass. He currently works as Assistant Professor at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
